Cross-Sport Multiple: Back United in Sunday clash

Things are looking up for United's new boss

Andrew Hughes thinks Manchester United will edge out Liverpool on Sunday and help to land another cross-sport multiple.

Bet 1: Back Man Utd to beat Liverpool at 1.834/5

Last season, Manchester United were outplayed in this fixture, losing 3-0 to a rampant Liverpool side, but they can earn their revenge on Sunday.

United are a work in progress, yet despite a few teething troubles and a lengthy injury list, they go into this game in third place, having secured five wins in a row without hitting top gear, the kind of ominous form that in previous years signalled the beginning of a title-winning challenge.

They may not quite be up to that this season, but they should gain some pre-Christmas cheer against a floundering Liverpool side that has conceded thirteen goals in seven away games, the second worst record in the Premier League. United have won ten of their last twelve meetings at Old Trafford and should win this.

Bet 2: Back Ulster to beat Scarlets at 1.538/15

Last weekend, Ulster overcame Scarlets in Belfast in their Pool Three contest, and the Irish side are worth backing to make it a double on Sunday.

Defeat for either side in this return fixture would make it all but impossible to qualify for the knock-out stages and that should make for a fierce contest. Their last meeting, in the Pro 12 in September ended in a 32-32 draw, but Ulster have improved since then, winning four of their last five Pro 12 games, whilst Scarlets have lost four out of their last six in all competitions. Back the visitors to edge it.

Bet 3: Back Green Bay to beat Buffalo at 1.4740/85

The NFL regular season is drawing to a close and Green Bay Packers can take a big step towards securing their play-off place with victory in Buffalo.

The Packers had a scare against Atlanta last time, having to battle to a 43-37 win after leading 31-7 at half-time. But they got the job done to record a fifth successive victory and give them the second best record in the NFC, and they should be too strong for a Buffalo side that has struggled for consistency and has one of the weakest offences in the NFL. Back Green Bay for the win.
