Will Neymar be celebrating again after Brazil's match with Mexico?

Brazil struggled to victory in their opening match but can they prove more incisive when they face Mexico? Opta rates their chances.

Brazil and Mexico are meeting for the fourth time at the World Cup. The Seleo have won their three previous meetings with a combined score of 11-0. They are 1.331/3 to win.

Brazil and Mexico met the last time the World Cup was held in Brazil, in the opening game of the 1950 edition at the Maracan. The Seleo won 4-0. Brazil are 1.9720/21 to win half-time/full-time.

Brazil and Mexico last met in the 2013 Confederations Cup, at the same venue as this game, the Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza. Luiz Felipe Scolari's men won 2-0 thanks to goals from Neymar and J. Neymar is 2.01/1 to score again.

Mexico have only beaten the Seleo once on Brazilian soil. It was on 31 October 1968 in a friendly (2-1). They are rated a distant 12.011/1 to repeat this feat.

Mexico have only won one of their 11 games at the World Cup against South American sides (2-1 v Ecuador in 2002), drawing two and losing eight. The draw is priced at 6.05/1.
