Samuel Eto'o was said to be old but both Everton and Arsenal are interested in his services according to reports
Diego Costa misses out on the transfer rumour mill today but there is a Cesc Fabregas update. That and more in our daily transfer rumour round-up...
Chelsea fans can breathe a big sigh of relief today after Eden Hazard put to bed any speculation about his future on the eve of the World Cup finals.
The 23-year-old is likely to be one of the standout performers in Brazil and would in all likelihood have been able to enjoy his pick of Europe's top clubs after the tournament amid reports of his unhappiness with life at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgian had been strongly linked with Paris Saint-Germain since the end of the season but has now told Belgian newspaper La Derniere Heure that he is "staying at Chelsea 100 per cent".
Hazard is likely to be joined at Chelsea next season by Cesc Fabregas, who is said to be closing in on a move from Barcelona.
The switch has been held up though, according to The Daily Telegraph, by the Blues insisting on a deal that would see Fabregas's former club Arsenal miss out on any money from the transfer.
Meanwhile, the Gunners' hunt for a new goalkeeper shows no signs of coming to an end any time soon after Iker Casillas's girlfriend ended speculation that he could move to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal were thought to be interested in the Real Madrid shot stopper but the 33-year-old's partner, Sara Carbonero, has put her foot down and told Spanish publication El Mundo that they are staying put.
Arsene Wenger might not be able to persuade Casillas to up sticks and leave Madrid but he might have more luck with Real forward Alvaro Morata after Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti hinted that he could leave the Bernabeu this summer.
Arsenal are not alone in wanting the 21-year-old though, with the Daily Mail reporting Tottenham and Inter Milan are also interested.
Elsewhere, Manchester United's new boss Louis van Gaal looks set to bring the curtain down on Marouane Fellaini's brief stay at Old Trafford.
The Guardian are reporting that United will accept offers in the region of 12million for the Belgium international, less than half of the 27.5million sum they forked out to sign him from Everton last summer.
Finally, it looks as though Samuel Eto'o will be staying in England, with the Daily Express reporting that Everton are keen to sign the Cameroon striker on his return from the World Cup.
The Toffees seem to have given up trying to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Goodison Park, with the Belgium international set to move abroad, and are keen to sign 33-year-old Eto'o, who is a free agent after his contract at Chelsea expired.
Arsenal have also been linked with Eto'o as they look to bolster their attacking options.
