Opta Stats: QPR to finally grab elusive first victory

Adel Taarabt has notched twice in his last four league matches

Opta tells us that QPR and Reading don't do drawing in the month of November and a good thing too because only a win will do...

Fulham v Everton (Saturday, 15:00)
Everton have hit 99 shots (including blocked) in league games away from home this season, at least 17 more than any other side in Europe's big five leagues
Everton's lofty league position is as much due to their attitude on the road as it is to their solidarity at Goodison Park. As this stat suggests, the Toffees' mantra away from home is to attack teams straight from the off as Swansea and Villa have found out, blown away within the first 45 minutes. Everton have a great record against Fulham too, beating them on three occasions last season, part of a run of seven wins and one loss from the last nine encounters with the Whites.

Sunderland v Aston Villa (Saturday, 15:00)
Six of Sunderland's games have gone under 2.5 goals this season
It's no secret that Martin O'Neill's side have come up desperately short in the scoring department this season. All goal-getting responsibilities have been lumbered at the door of record signing Steven Fletcher in the Premier League, as none of their other players have been able to contribute in eight top flight matches to date. It's a familiar tale for visitors Aston Villa - seven of their nine games have finished short of the 2.5 goals mark - mostly due to the fact Paul Lambert's side have only managed to score two or more once in the league.

Tottenham v Wigan (Saturday, 15:00)
Tottenham have scored at least two goals in their last six Premier League games. Their best such run last season was 11 games
Despite losing out to London rivals Chelsea in their last home fixture, Tottenham have mostly managed to blend entertainment with positive results since early season teething troubles. Scoring goals is clearly not an issue for Spurs and it's no surprise really when Andre Villas-Boas has attacking talents such as Gareth Bale and Jermain Defoe at his disposal. Wigan fans will need no reminding that White Hart Lane is the scene of Tottenham's biggest ever Premier League win (9-1) in November 2009.
More Stats

QPR v Reading (Sunday, 13:30, Sky Sports 1)
Reading have never drawn a Premier League game in November (W3 L4)
A draw will simply not do for either of these basement sides, the only two teams yet to collect a win in the Premier League. Reading will arrive at Loftus Road still shell-shocked from throwing away a four-goal lead in the Capital One Cup and QPR, rested, should be poised to take advantage. QPR's last home game against upwardly mobile Everton represented their best performance of the campaign to date and even though they lost narrowly at Arsenal, it was further evidence they are getting closer to that elusive win. The likelihood of a result is increased by the fact QPR have only ever drawn twice in November in 18 Premier League fixtures.
