Follow The Money: Knockdolian attracting huge support

Have FTM found a winner at Kempton?

Today's Follow The Money comes from Kempton and Ludlow.

We start off at Ludlow for the 13:10 Beginners Chase over 2m4f. Carrigmorna King has been drifting dramatically this morning from an early 2.526/4 out to 3.259/4. On the face of it, the selection looks just the type to make a good fist of a chasing career. However, it is definitely worth noting trainer Philip Hobbs' recent Stable Tour assessment that he can be a bit of a clumsy jumper, and that really soft ground such as today's will not suit. Today may not be the day for Carrigmorna King, and we are happy to take him on at the price.

Definite Dream has attracted solid support in the 13:45 Novice Hurdle, and has moved accordingly, from as high as 3.613/5 in to 2.8415/8, so we will stay at Ludlow and make him our first positive. After beating off 16 runners to win on soft ground at Tipperary in April, he made a good start for his new yard on the heavy at Carlisle a fortnight ago. That should have him spot on for this, with conditions expected to suit and the money down, today could be his day.

Perhaps our most interesting mover can be found at Kempton. Our colleagues at Timeform had this to say about our market mover: "Fair Maiden on Flat and shaped with some promise over hurdles. Market likely to reveal what is expected... "  The race in question is the 15:40 Novices Handicap Hurdle and that makes Knockdolian our final selection for today, having moved from 19.018/1 in to 8.27/1. Benny The Swinger looks a tough nut to crack in this race, but there may still be some value in the price of our selection and the huge support suggests a good run is on the cards.
