Harris Tweed is a smart performer who looked as good as ever when winning John Porter at Newbury on return. Only one creditable run since but the one to beat if anywhere near his best.

Art Scholar is in the form of his life at present, fourth success this year coming in November handicap at Doncaster earlier this month. Well worth a try at this level given current mood.

Communicator won 1m handicap for Michael Bell at York in 2011 and showed useful form when taking 1m Chester event in August. Good second to Art Scholar in November Handicap last time and respected.

Media Hype has progressed well this year, winning handicaps at Pontefract and York in the spring. Respectable fourth after 2 months off in listed race over C&D 3 weeks ago and frame claims.

Qushchi is a useful filly and several creditable efforts this year when placed. Bit to find on these terms, however.

Roxy Flyer is better on AW than turf, and looked better than ever when landing an 11f handicap here in September. Not so good since but dangerous to dismiss on these terms.

Wildomar won his maiden over this C&D but no evidence to suggest he's up to this level.

Bountiful Girl is a fair performer who faces a very stiff task upped in trip on these terms.

Solfilia won a Nottingham nursery last summer, and gradually coming to a peak this year, runner-up last 2 starts. Plenty to find at this level, however.

Timeform Verdict: Harris Tweed is the one to beat on his best form, but he's largely had a disappointing campaign and is taken on with November Handicap 1-2 Art Scholar and Communicator, the former fancied to come out on top again.
