Timeform examine each of the runners in the listed mares' hurdle at Kempton...

Alasi has developed a niche in these mares only contests, winning listed and grade 2 event over hurdles last term as well a pair of chases successes. Good second on return and should give running again.

Kells Belle improved to land couple of listed mares events last term, posting a useful effort when defying a mark of 134 at Cheltenham (21f) in April. Will be suited by 3m and very much a player on return.

Alpine Breeze notched a third chase win of the campaign over 2m at Market Rasen earlier this month. Did well over hurdles last term but will need to up game slightly if she's to take this.

Annimation was a fair and consistent hurdler last term but faces a stiff task at this level and also comes here on the back of a disappointing run over fences on her reappearance.

Baby Shine was useful in bumpers. Also developed into a pretty useful novice hurdler last term but 6 lengths to make up on Alasi from Wetherby earlier this month.

Kaffie is a bumper winner who made good start to her hurdling career last term, winning pair of mares novices before chasing home Kells Belle at Sandown in January. 3m will suit and returns with yard in form.

Knockfierna is a Grade 2 hurdle winner and just as good over fences. Threatening when running out 2 out at Limerick on return and best to ignore latest run (hampered). Leading claims back hurdling.

Miss Milborne has Steadily progressed over hurdles, posting a useful effort when landing a 2m Wincanton handicap in the mud earlier this month. Should be competitive up at this level.

Wild Rhubarb won a Southwell novice and Uttoxeter handicap (both 3m) in May. Further progress when runner-up at latter track last time but will have to improve fair bit more again to get heavily involved here.

Timeform View: Kells Belle was on the up when last seen in the spring and is sure to go well, but she might just find the concession of 8 lb to former Grade 2 hurdle winner/smart chaser Knockfierna beyond her. Kaffie has the potential for better still this term and is another who should go well in what is a competitive race of its type.
