Navan to the rescue!

Today's Follow the Money movers come from the meeting at Navan.

Our first mover comes in the shape of Vapiano, who has been backed from 7.413/2 in to 6.05/1 to win the 13:55. Gordon Elliot's six-year-old is lightly raced and put up his best effort last time out when a promising second in a beginners' chase. It could be argued he was unlucky not to win that day when slightly hampered by a loose horse after the last fence. He had shown promise prior to this and, although very disappointing in a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham two runs back, it's worth noting he was sent of a 8/1 shot that day so was clearly fancied. He looks sure to handle the ground today as his last run was on similar going, and everything points to a big run today.
 
Our negative mover of the day is Alderwood who runs in the 14:55 and has drifted from 2.6613/8 out to 3.711/4. Thomas Mullins' hurdler was nigh on flawless last season, winning the county hurdle at Cheltenham and then going on to win at Fairyhouse and Punchestown. Users are taking him on today though, possibly because he needed the run on his comeback and today might be a similar case. Also it's worth noting that Tony McCoy who won on him on his last three runs has not taking the ride today even though both GB meetings today were abandoned.
 
Our final mover of the day is Fickle Fortune in the listed bumper at 15:25. Noel Meade's four-year-old backed in from 5.95/1 to 4.3100/30. The filly was a very impressive winner on debut last February when sent off odds-on. After that it was clear that Meade thought a lot of the horse. She disappointed in a grade 1 bumper at the Punchestown festival, but it was easy to excuse that as the ground that day was desperate, and she was back to form when second at Galway last time out. This smooth traveller is sure to get many of her rivals off the bridle and let's hope she follows the effort through today.
