Lingfield wades into action on Tuesday and, being the only surviving meeting, that is where we head for today's three bets...

Topaze Collonges is prone to jumping errors but has far fewer questions surrounding him than many of his rivals, so is taken to land the two mile handicap chase at 13:00. Despite the fencing mistakes it is difficult to knock the five-year-old's last trio of completed starts, which comprise a win at Plumpton and second-placed efforts at both Fontwell and Towcester, and he has also demonstrated his effectiveness on heavy ground. The mere fact that Topaze Collonges arrives here in form is likely to count four plenty, and he can get us off to the best of starts.
 
The 14:30 is the most competitive race of the day but is the scene of our second selection, in the shape of the Laura Mongan-trained Synthe Davis. The seven-year-old has drawn a blank since winning on three occasions in 2010 but she hasn't been all that extensively campaigned and returned from a seven month absence to put up one of her better efforts when denied by just a head at Huntingdon a fortnight ago, pushing the winner all the way to the line. Dormouse seems sure to go well in the pursuit of the hat-trick but may find Synthe Davis just too strong today. 

Our selection in the 15:00 is fairly unoriginal but the 2.47/5 currently available about Pete The Feat strikes as being pretty generous following the eight-year-old's three wins in his last trio of starts and there is a definite chance that he can notch the four-timer. Pete The Feat has done nothing but improve since joining the Charlie Longsdon yard over the summer, taking his form to a whole new level, and with their being very little to shout about among his four rivals he is taken to go in once more.
