It's a frustrating time for Valladolid
Real Valladolid are odds-on for their clash with Granada this evening but with just one win in their last six, Paul Robinson thinks they are a touch too short.
Valladolid have acquitted themselves well on their return to La Liga after a two year stay in the Segunda Division. They are in 12th spot with 15 points from their opening dozen fixtures, however they picked up six of those points in the first two games.
Miroslav uki's side have been victorious just once in their last six, a 1-0 win over the struggling Osasuna, and even then, they didn't go ahead until the opposition were reduced to 10 men. They've drawn their last three at Estadio Nuevo Jos Zorrilla and they haven't kept a clean sheet in front of their own fans since August.
Granada have slipped to 17th place after losing four of their last five, however apart from one of them, they were all by a single goal margin, and they did face the likes of Levante and Atletico Madrid in that period.
Juan Antonio Anquela's men have actually picked up more points on the road than they have at home this term. They've won two of their last three away, at Mallorca and Betis, scoring two goals in each match. While they do have a poor away record on the whole, they should take some confidence from recent results.
Valladolid are the worthy favourites for this match but odds of 1.991/1 are just too short and that's why I'm making them my lay of the day.
