Against All Odds: Super Farmers to come a cropper at Emmen

More agony for De Graafschap tonight

With two winners from four for the week so far, Paul Robinson takes us to Holland for a clash between Emmen and De Graafschap in which he thinks the odds-on De Graafschap should be opposed.

Emmen are down in 16th place in the table after picking up 10 points from their opening 10 games. After going four matches unbeaten, which included back to back wins, the side from Drenthe are without a victory in three.

Joop Gall took over as manager for this term and he has improved their form at home, making them much harder to beat. At Univ Stadion, Emmen have lost just one of five fixtures, and that was against the league leaders, MVV. They beat Veendam 2-1 in September and they drew with third placed Helmond Sport last time out after conceding a late penalty.

De Graafschap were relegated to this league last year and they haven't exactly made a positive start in gaining promotion. Pieter Huistra is the new man in charge for this campaign but he has seen his side pick up just 13 points from their opening 10 matches.

The Super Farmers are undefeated in four, including back to back victories on the road, so they will at least have renewed confidence going into tonight. Their away form on a whole isn't that great though; they lost to bottom club, Almere City at the end of September, for example.

De Graafschap are indeed playing better at present but Emmen have been a tad unlucky and they are proving much harder to beat at home. The price of an away win at 1.814/5 is much too short for my money and that's why I'm making De Graafschap my lay of the day.

Lay De Graafschap against Emmen @ 1.814/5
