Tuesday Transfer Rumours - Everton, Manchester United & Liverpool fight for Italian star

Joleon Lescott is preparing for life without the sky blue shirt

Joleon Lescott is set for a move to Hull whilst Julian Draxler tells of his plans for the 2014/2015 season. Alex Johnson rounds up what the media are saying is our Tuesday transfer round-up.

Sky Sports understand that Hull City are on the verge of finalising personal terms with Joleon Lescott, who was released by Manchester City at the end of last season. The former Everton man is set to be handed a two-year deal, with an option for a third as he looks to get some regular football after failing to earn a place under City boss Manuel Pellegrini.

Everton are hoping to beat Manchester United and Liverpool to the signature of Torino frontman Alessio Cerci, with Roberto Martinez looking to strengthen his side as they prepare for an assault on the Europa League and the Premier League. Sky Sports Italia believes that the Toffees will part with €13.5million for the Italy international.

Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has cooled talk of a possible move to Manchester United this summer, telling the Daily Mail he doesn't "expect" to move this summer. Louis van Gaal has identified the Germany international as one of his key targets this summer as he looks to rebuild the squad.

Julian Draxler has confirmed that he will stay with the Bundesliga outfit for one more season before moving on. Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have been tracking the highly rated midfielder for quite some time and will all table bids at the end of next season. The Germany international is valued at 37million.

French publication L'Equipe understands that Newcastle are putting together a bumper package to tempt Batefimbi Gomis to join them this summer. The Magpies have been trying to sign the Lyon frontman for some time and are hoping that the offer of 75,000 a week along with a 2million signing fee will be enough to tempt him. Alan Pardew is looking to get his business done early this summer after already completing deals for Jack Colback and Ayoze Perez.

Newcastle have also been boosted by the news that star man Hatem Ben Arfa has turned down the opportunity to move to the Middle East. The player's agent, Michel Ouazine told L'Equipe that the Frenchman was keen on a stay in Europe despite being linked with Qatari-based sides Al Sadd and Lekhwiya.

Ajax defender Daley Blind has played down speculation linking him with a summer move to Manchester United, according to the Manchester Evening News. The 24-year-old looked impressive in his World Cup debut, helping his side to claim a 5-1 win over Spain, but he insists he will not talk further about a potential move until the competition draws to a close.
