Racing takes place on the July course on Friday.
Timeform assess the runners for a decent handicap over seven furlongs at Newmarket on Friday...
Born To Surprise has gained both wins at Doncaster, posting a useful effort when winning a handicap at Leger meeting on second occasion. Shaped well there on second start back this term and respected.
Top Offer looked potentially top-notch when making impressive debut at Newbury (7f) sole start at 2 yrs. Well held in 2000 Guineas/listed race in 2 runs last year and gelded since. Market should guide.
Common Touch was successful twice in 7f handicaps last summer for Richard Fahey. Left that yard for 48,000 gns and disappointed on return for new yard.
Highland Colori was prolific last year, winning 4 races from 6f to 1m and even better form when just touched off in the Ayr Silver Cup. Shaped well on return but disappointed next time.
Laffan is a prominent racer who notched 4 handicap wins in first half of 2012. Better effort this year when second at Musselburgh, and respectable third at Chester last time. Headgear fitted.
Princess Of Orange improved to land a 1m fast-ground handicap here last summer. Good third at Ascot last month though probably better at 1m.
Elusive Flame got back to winning ways over C&D last summer. Has often ran well in defeat since and unlikely to be far away.
Fast Finian has done well on AW for this yard, winning 3 times in 2012. Fitting of headgear saw him land Yarmouth handicap in April but found Victoria Cup too competitive last time.
Axiom hasn't won since August 2010 and potentially very well handicapped as a result. Has gone well fresh and this may be the time to catch him.
Johnny Castle won pair of 7f handicaps for John Gosden in 2011, but failed to reproduce that form for current yard last year. Slipping in weights but disappointed on recent return.
Kakatosi made a winning start for new yard at Lingfield (6f) in December. Back to form last 2 starts but stamina is a concern at this trip (sometimes finds little).
Emkanaat won 2 7f Wolverhampton handicaps last season for Roger Varian but ran poorly on return for new yard at Goodwood last month.
Forceful Appeal is an ex-French performer who landed fourth success on polytrack at Lingfield in April. Shaped well at Goodwood since and not ruled out.
Albaqaa won pair of big-field handicaps from much higher marks in 2011. Fortuante to resume winning ways at Haydock last time (second eased up) but was clear of the rest that day. Still on a fair mark.
Showboating was in good heart on AW earlier this year and carried on the good work back on turf, though could have done better last time.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Axiom
2. Top Offer
3. Born To Surprise
Timeform Verdict: Market confidence for Top Offer on his belated return would look significant but Axiom makes the most appeal from a handicapping perspective and fresh may be the time to catch him. Born To Surprise and Albaqaa are others to consider.
