South Korea's qualifying group has seen many low-scoring affairs
It may be mid-summer but there is always football somewhere in the world to bet on. Christian Crowther offers a tip for each day of the week...
Monday June 17
IFK Goteborg v Djurgardens (18.05, Betfair Live Video)
With the Swedish top flight now just over a third of the way through its season, IFK Goteborg are just five points off the pace at the top, thanks largely to their imperious home form thus far. They've only dropped two points in five games and should have too much for struggling Djurgardens, who have picked up just a point on their travels.
Recommended Bet: Back IFK Goteborg to win @ 1.784/5
Tuesday June 18
South Korea v Iran (13:00, British Eurosport 2)
A really consistent feature of Group A matches in this Asian section of World Cup qualifying has been their low-scoring nature. South Korea's 1-0 home win over Uzbekistan a week ago represented the tenth time that this scoreline has been recorded in the 18 matches thus far and the 11th time a match has gone under 1.5 goals.
Best Bet: Back under 1.5 goals @ 2.568/5
Wednesday June 19
USA v Honduras (03:00, Betfair Live Video)
Since being shocked 2-1 in Honduras in the opening game of this final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, USA have recovered well, winning three games and drawing the other. Meanwhile, the Hondurans have slumped to two away defeats since, both without registering a goal. USA have also won to nil in their last two qualifiers on American soil.
Recommended Bet: Back USA to win to nil @ 2.47/5
Thursday June 20
Syrianska FC v Malmo FF (19:00, Betfair Live Video)
2010 Allsvenskan champions Malmo have only lost one of their 11 games to date, putting them fourth. They've had no trouble scoring goals either; notching in every match so far while three out of their last four games have gone over the 3.5 goals mark. Similarly, opponents Syrianska have seen three of their last four matches breach the 2.5 goals line.
Recommended Bet: Back over 2.5 goals @ 2.111/10
Friday June 21
USA U20 v Spain U20 (20:00)
The Spain U20 team proved their pedigree by winning the European U19 Championship last summer and, like their U21 counterparts who face Italy on Tuesday, they are considered 3.55n/a favourites to win their summer tournament, the U20 World Cup. The Spanish scored at least twice in four of their five matches en route to Euro glory at the aforementioned level last summer.
Recommended Bet: Back over 2.5 goals @ 1.910/11
