Against All Odds: Swedish clash to produce goals

Kalmar FF host Norrkoping in the Swedish Allsvenskan this evening and despite under 2.5 goals trading at odds-on, Paul Robinson thinks we should see at least three goals.

Kalmar FF have made an inconsistent start to the season as after 11 matches they haven't recorded back to back wins or back to back defeats. They have won four, drawn four and lost three to give themselves a total of 16 points and sixth place in the table. They did lose last time out to the struggling Djurgarden, but the Red Brothers are undefeated at home this term - winning their last two.

Nanne Bergstrand's side may have only scored 12 goals so far this season but five of those came in their last two matches at the Guldfgeln Arena - so there is reason to believe that their average will be improved upon tonight. Interestingly, while they have been relatively sound at the back, they haven't kept a clean sheet in five - two of which were on home soil.

Norrkoping ended up finishing in fifth place last year after ending their campaign like a train. Jan Andersson's men carried on that form in the early part of this season as they won their opening two, but the wheels then came off as they lost three on the bounce. Two wins, two draws and two defeats from their next half dozen has left them ninth in the league and they will have to improve if they want to challenge for the European places.

As far as the goals go, their fixtures have been averaging exactly three goals per game thus far, with seven of their 11 going over 2.5, three going over 3.5, two over 4.5 and one going over 5.5. They have scored in four of their five away matches this year and are yet to keep a clean sheet.

Both teams should end up on the scoresheet tonight and I think there's a very good chance we'll see at least one more goal in the game. That's why, with under 2.5 goals priced around the 1.9310/11 mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
