We bring you the latest going details ahead of day three at Royal Ascot...
Racecourse: Ascot
First Race Time: 14:30
Going: Good to firm
Other Information: Dry overnight. Forecast scattered showers today
After another dry night in Berkshire the ground will ride Good to Firm on day three of the Royal meeting.
Clerk of the Course Chris Stickels changed the going to Good to Firm, Good in places before racing commenced on Wednesday, but after a glorious day of sunshine the 'Good in places' description was removed ahead of today's racing.
The feature race of the day is the Gold Cup at 15:45 where the Queen's Estimate is the current 7.613/2 favourite in a wide open betting heat.
The Irish have had a fabulous meeting so far and they could commence day three in the same fashion as they commenced the first two days by landing the spoils with an Aidan O'Brien-trained runner. Ballydoyle's Coach House is the favourite for the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes at 14:30.
Ireland have a strong hand in the other Group 2 race on the card in the shape of Alive Alive Oh in the Ribblesdale Stakes at 15:05, while John Gosden's Remote heads the betting for the Group 3 Tercentenary Stakes at 17:00.
The other two races on day three of Royal Ascot are competitive handicaps; the Britannia Stakes gets underway at 16:25, while the King George V Stakes is the 'get out' race at 17:35.
