Home and Away: IFK Goteborg looking to heap misery on out of sorts Djurgarden

Jonno Turner has picked a pair of Swedish corkers today

Jonno Turner picks two value selections from Sweden to make up his first Home and Away column of the week...

We're off to Sweden for our first selection of the week, as in-form IFK Goteborg host Djurgarden at the Gamla Ullevi, looking to extend the excellent run of recent results which has seen them to third in the Allsvenskan.

Mikael Stahre's side are unbeaten in the league in front of their own fans so far this campaign, and four wins from their last five on their own patch will give them much confidence ahead of this clash.

But it's not just the results which will please the Blavitt faithful - it's the manner in which they have secured victories in those encounters, and four clean sheets shows just how dominant they have been of late.

A 2-0 loss at Osters last time out will have hurt the hosts, and they will be desperate to bounce back with a vengeance in this game.

Visitors Djurgarden travel to this clash in miserable form on the road, and have not yet won a league game away from the Stockholms Stadion this campaign.

Per-Mathias Hogmo's side have lost three of their last four away from home, shipping a whopping 12 goals in the process - and will be keen to arrest that slump in this encounter.

But that run has left the Blaranderna teetering on the edge of the relegation places, and that is not the best preparation for a visit to a Goteborg side full of vigour and momentum.

Bet 1: IFK Goteborg (HOME) @ 1.73

Staying in Sweden now for our next pick, but dropping to Division One - as Skovde travel to Trollhatten, aiming to secure their third game unbeaten.

The visitors line up for this one in 10th place following some inconsistent form, but a win in their last clash on the road will have boosted their morale, and they'll be keen to build on that victory here.

So tight is this division that maximum points could propel them as high as fifth place in the table, and six without a loss from eight outings suggests that Rickard Soderberg's side are more than capable of achieving that result.

Hosts Trollhatten go into this game sitting two places in front of their guests, but on the same points total - and just one win from their last four indicates that Jesper Ljung's side are out of sorts at the moment.

It is six outings since the home side won on their own patch, and that will have knocked confidence down at the Edsborgs Stadium, as they welcome a Skovde side which they have not beaten in three meetings, losing two and drawing one.

Bet 2: Skovde (AWAY) @ 4.3
