Salisbury Placepot: Tuesday June 11

Tuesday's Placepot permutation comes from Salisbury

There is an intriguing card at Salisbury and that is where Tony McFadden heads for Tuesday's crack at the Placepot...

14:00- In the opening six-furlong maiden we will include two horses that shaped well on their first run and should have improved for the experience. Emperor's Hope hails from the powerful yard of Richard Hannon and was notably strong in the betting prior to finishing an encouraging fourth at Kempton. Slowly away that day, Emperor's Hope could be seen travelling well in behind rivals and ought to be seen to better effect today. Killing Time was also fourth on debut, faring best of the newcomers at Windsor despite looking green, and he is sure to progress with experience.

14:30- Trinity Boy showed definite promise on his debut at Leicester and it is worth forgiving him a slightly disappointing effort on his only subsequent start at Windsor as he was hampered and still looked fairly inexperienced in the closing stages. It is interesting to note that Clive Cox's juvenile has been well backed on both starts and he should put up a bold show.

15:00- Kyllachy Rise's two efforts in maidens when in the care of Sir Henry Cecil sets the clear standard here and he should be difficult to keep out of the frame. It was slightly disappointing that he couldn't score on his first start for Richard Hannon at York, but he simply seemed a bit short of pace over six furlongs and should be seen to better effect back over seven.

15:30- Raushan looked exciting when getting off the mark over C&D but she is sure to be carrying plenty of lines and there are other interesting fillies in opposition. Iffraaj Pink has improved with each start to date, winning at Nottingham last time despite conceding first run, and Roger Varian's filly looks sure to progress again. Equitissa perhaps isn't open to the same amount of improvement as some of her rivals but she shaped well behind two horses that could be a fair way ahead of their mark at Lingfield last time and she looks likely to give a good account.

16:05- A difficult handicap to work out and we will need to keep a couple onside. Gary Moore elected to send My Gigi all the way to Catterick last time and she produced a fair effort despite failing to justify the strong market support. Ryan Moore taking the ride is obviously a positive and she should put up a bold show. The Henry Candy-trained Tight Fit arguably did too much too soon at Newmarket but he fared best of those racing close to the pace and is capable of better.

16:35- Ghanaian showed some fairly useful form as a juvenile and, given her size and scope, it would be little surprise were she to really take off as a three-year-old. Ghanaian signed for her juvenile campaign with a third in a competitive nursery at Newmarket, and she looks like one of the best-treated fillies in this race, even without taking into her account her obvious scope for improvement.
