Timeform Daily: Wednesday, Warwick 14:20

Warwick hosts Wednesday's Race of The Day

A maiden chase restricted to four-year-olds comes under Timeform's inspection.

Ulysse Collonges landed a pair of 4-y-o hurdles prior to making successful chase debut at Dieppe in July for Guy Cherel. Fortunate to follow up on UK debut, and looks to face a tough task conceding weight all round.

Ulck du Lin won a newcomers chase for Jacques Ortet last autumn, but beaten favourite on last 3 starts for current yard. Found little on return to fences at Stratford last month, but respected on pick of form.

Dark And Dangerous twice emerged successful in juvenile hurdles last winter, and returned to form when 2 lengths third of 12 to General Ting in handicap at Sandown last time. Claims if taking to fences at first attempt.

Kapga de Cerisy's best effort in juvenile hurdles last year when winning at Sandown in February, and better than result on chase bow at Ascot last time (upsides when mistake 2 out). Not underestimated now.

Private Equity much better effort in 4-y-o hurdles for Eric Leenders when winning over 2m at Sable-sur-Sarthe in June. Joined current yard for ¤58,000 in the summer, and is not one to take lightly here.

Red Riverman Won 17f Market Rasen handicap hurdle in June and seemed to improve markedly when chasing home Hinterland at Chepstow last month. Stiff task last time, but needs another personal best on chase bow.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Kapga de Cerisy
2. Private Equity
3. Ulck du Lin

Timeform verdict: Private Equity is an interesting runner on debut for Nicky Henderson, and needs to be monitored the market, but Kapga de Cerisy sets a solid standard having shaped well until a late blunder cost him all chance at Ascot on debut. Ulck du Lin looks best of the rest.
