Tuesday's Timeform Daily is a handicap chase from Folkestone.
Mission Complete is a thorough stayer who has yet to match hurdling form over fences. More promise when fourth at Fontwell last month and further ease in the weights sure to help now sporting cheekpieces.
Pete the Feat has taken form to a new level, successful both starts for new yard in October, improving again when routing rivals at Plumpton (3m) last time. Remains of interest, despite further 9 lb rise
Promised Wings is a course winner over hurdles who was a promising fourth sole try over fences here in January. Good third in a staying handicap hurdle on recent reappearance and one to consider now back chasing.
Just Josie has looked a totally different proposition switched to fences when landing a couple of C&D handicaps at the turn of the year. Much higher in the weights on return, but probably capable of better still.
Massini Sunset is a temperamental sort who burst back to form when bolting up at Chepstow (3m) in March. Fair effort, despite going in snatches when third on recent reappearance, but others more reliable.
Oscar Papa was runner-up 3 times over hurdles in 2010/11. Proved a bit of a let down sent chasing last season and new headgear conmbination in place following a low-key start to new camapign in October.
Current Climate has been twice successful in staying handicaps at Fontwell in the spring, but moody effort when reappearing at that venue last month and one to treat with a degree of caution now.
Goring One is a prominent racer who won 3 handicaps at up to 21f in 2011. Should stay this far, but others in better heart after failing to fire both comeback outings in recent weeks.
Red Mile has often shaped better than result implies over jumps, doing so again second try over fences when third at Fontwell (2m) last month, but needs to keep the errors down if he is to take a hand.
Gee Dee Nen is capable on his day, but temperament starting to get the better of him, turning in another moody display at Fontwell last month and refitted blinkers unlikely to rectify matters
Colin's Desire responded well to professional handling when opening chasing account at Wincanton (25f) in April, but laboured effort the following month and even higher in the weights on return.
Culahill has won 3 staying handicaps in 2011. Handicapper cut him plenty of slack of late, but didn't shape as though he was capable of taking advantage anytime soon at Ludlow last week.
Local Present is heading back in right direction, jumping soundly when making it 2 from 2 in handicap chases over 21f here for new yard last month. Still well treated on old exploits, and commands respect again.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Local Present
2. Pete The Feat
3. Mission Complete
Timeform View: Dual C&D winner Just Josie was progressing well at the turn of the year and could figure if fully tuned up for her reappearance, but recent winners Local Present and Pete The Feat may be the pair to concentrate on, the former given the vote to continue his resurgence for Brian Ellison. Mission Complete remains open to improvement over fences and is another worth considering
