Borussia M'gladbach travel to Marseille for a Europa League clash with the current Betfair market suggesting that they will return empty handed...something which Paul Robinson disagrees with.
Marseille are having a much better campaign compared to last year and it would appear that lie Baup has breathed new life into the club after things began to get stale under former boss, Didier Deschamps.
L'OM are second in Ligue One, level on points with PSG and with a game in hand. Things aren't quite as rosy in Europe though as they are only in third place in Group C, albeit level on points with their opponents tonight.
That is actually quite an interesting point as ties are separated by head to head records as opposed to goal difference in this competition, and with the Germans winning the reverse fixture a fortnight ago, a draw would be very handy for the men from North Rhine-Westphalia.
Unlike Marseille, M'Gladbach are doing pretty poorly domestically as they are only in 11th place after 10 games. Manager, Lucien Favre, will take heart from their recent performances though; one defeat from four in the Bundesliga, including an impressive 3-2 comeback win at Hannover.
Marseille are undefeated at Stade Vlodrome this term but The Foals are quite formidable on the road, losing only two of nine in all competitions, and if we take into account last season's results, they've tasted defeat just five times in their last 23 away from Borussia-Park.
This is quite an intriguing match-up as a win for either side will put them in pole position to finish above the other one and ultimately qualify for the knockout phase. On balance I would say that Marseille's price of 1.875/6 is worth opposing, and that's why I'm making them my lay of the day.
