Emirates Cup: Arsenal odds-on to make it a winning weekend

Who will get among the goals today?

Arsene Wenger enjoyed the first day of the Emirate Cup with his team battering Benfica - and they are fancied to double up with a win over Monaco today...

Arsenal are 1.758/11 to make it two wins from two when they face Monaco on the final day of the Emirates Cup this afternoon.

Arsene Wenger's side destroyed Portuguese champions Benfica 5-1 in the first set of games on Saturday and another win will seal the Emirates Cup for the host side.

In a very encouraging game for the north London side, two of the younger members of the Arsenal team got among the goals with French under 21 international Yaya Sanogo plundering four and Costa Rica's World Cup hero Joel Campbell scoring the other.  That suggests Olivier Giroud will have a bit of competition upfront - something that was lacking last year.

In another positive for the 8.07/1 Premier League fourth favourites star signing Alexis Sanchez made his debut, playing the final 17 minutes and setting up Francis Coquelin who struck the post.

Sunday's opponents Monaco drew 2-2 with Valencia in the opening game on Saturday. The French side are 5.24/1 to cause an upset.

Benfica are 3.185/40 to get over Saturday's thumping when they meet Valencia in the warm-up match. The Spanish side are 2.427/5 to win with the draw 3.65n/a.

Both games are live on BT Sport 1.
