My Flora certainly made an impact in hunter chases during the 2011/12 season, winning four times, and she has been running well in handicap chases of late, offering enough encouragement to suggest that she can win the 15:30. Having travelled strongly and jumped well at Sedgefield last time, My Flora couldn't quite match the winner in the closing stages, but she went for much of the way like a well-handicapped mare and she should certainly continue to give a good account.
In the following race on the card, we will side with the consistent Ifonlyalfie (16:00). Chris Bealby's eight-year-old finished last year in good heart, posting two creditable efforts after getting off the mark at Southwell, and he has returned from a break in good form, running right up to his best on two occasions at Market Rasen. He has edged up in the weights as a consequence of his admirable efforts but there is little reason to think he won't give his running and he should make a bold bid in this weak-looking affair.
Bach On Tow has been progressing well and his trainer appears to have found him a nice opportunity to add another win in the 16:30. Bach On Tow showed improved form to open his account at Taunton in April and, following a creditable effort in defeat at the same course, he progressed further to win at Newton Abbot last month. Bach On Tow arguably did well to win at Newton Abbot as he made rapid headway three furlongs from home, making a wide sweeping move before sticking on well in the closing stages. That represented a career-best effort and he ought to be tough to beat.
