Timeform Daily: Tuesday, Ripon 15:30

Danny Tudhope will be aboard Frontier Fighter at Ripon.

Timeform analyse the runners for a handicap over a mile at Ripon on Tuesday...

St Moritz was largely below par in 2012 but landed a 5-runner minor event on return at this course in April (1m). Failed to beat a rival both starts in handicaps since over this trip.

Swiftly Done gained back-to-back handicaps for the second successive campaign in a truncated 2012 season. Never able to land a blow in the Lincoln on reappearance, so this a better race to judge him on.

Frontier Fighter only made debut on Boxing Day, but has quickly made up for lost time, registering fourth victory at Pontefract run in April. Excellent placed efforts since, third to Ardmay over C&D.

Osteopathic Remedy was twice successful in 2012 (including over C&D), and has shaped as though ability remains intact all 4 starts this term. 1 lb below last winning mark here, but drying ground is a big worry.

Ardmay improved in handicaps in 2012, winning 3 times and all the better for reappearance when posting a big personal best to add to tally over C&D last month. Big player up 2 lb.

Dubai Dynamo returned to winning ways at Thirsk (7f) and remained in form since, 1 lengths fourth to Ardmay over C&D last month. Hung left at Haydock turned out quickly, and likely vulnerable for the win.

Lord Aeryn resumed winning ways when landing the Summer Cup at Thirsk in August, and done little wrong in 6 subsequent runs, fifth back at that C&D a month ago. Likely to give it his best shot again.

Suits Me is a front runner who generally ran with credit in defeat last term, including when fifth of 16 to Danadana in August. Off since October (kept busy on polytrack earlier in career).

Sam Nombulist has gained all 3 career wins over 7f, including twice last year at York and Newmarket. Quirky sort, though, and though his second start back was reasonable, he's vulnerable against 1m specialists.

Venutius is a prominent runner who added second Haydock win to CV a year ago, and in frame on next 2 outings. Handicapper has had his say after, but makes return for a stable in excellent form.

Green Howard improved strike rate when knuckling down well to record fifth career win at Yarmouth (7f) in August. Flopped in the mud at Thirsk latest, but this slightly easier test of stamina will help.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Frontier Fighter
2. Ardmay
3. Swiftly Done

Timeform Verdict: Frontier Fighter has few miles on the clock for a 5-y-o handicapper, so he looks a sporting bet to reverse C&D form with Ardmay. Swiftly Done takes a drop in class and looks a danger to the pair.
