Timeform Daily: Thursday, Sandown 19:55

Paul Hanagan rides our selection

Several unexposed three-year-olds line up in the seven-furlong handicap. Here Timeform give their opinion...

Ashaadd ran out winner of 6f Windsor maiden on second run at 2 yrs and, though ht hasn't gone on as hoped since, he wasn't disgraced on return at Goodwood last month, unsuited by way things developed there.

Mutazamen did well at 2 yrs, following brace of victories with a solid effort in defeat in minor event at Salisbury (6f) in October. Below expectations on return at Newbury but worth another chance.

Tommy's Secret proved successful in Goodwood maiden and 6f Kempton nursery at 2 yrs. Shaped as though retaining ability when mid-field on return at Doncaster but needs to raise his game to take this.

Rayaheen overcame greenness to make an impressive winning debut in 6f Nottingham last June. However, failed to progress in 3 subsequent runs and fair bit to prove now.

Homage made it third time lucky in maidens at Kempton (6f) in September, and improved when landing a 7f Haydock handicap by a head from Gravitational on return last month. Open to further improvement.

Banovallum won a 7f Folkestone maiden in September (race worked out quite well) and excuses when failing to land a below on return at Warwick last month. Still, looks vulnerable in a race of this nature.

Vallarta opened his account at fourth attempt at Newbury in September, proving 1 lengths too strong for Homage. 6f insufficient test in 2 runs this term and better expected reverting to 7f here.

Tobacco Road built on debut promise when winning 7-runner 7f Lingfield turf maiden last July. Good second in 6f nursery at Goodwood final run of 2012 but pulled hard and well held on return. NON RUNNER.

Czech It Out left debut effort behind when keeping on strongly to land an 11-runner Newbury maiden (7f) by 1 lengths from Thakana last month. Could have more to offer and respected on handicap debut here.

Altharoos shaped well in defeat in decent maidens first 2 starts as a 2-y-o and duly made it third time lucky when scoring at Beverley (7.5f) in September. Opening mark looks fair and remains with potential.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Altharoos
2. Homage
3. Czech It Out

Timeform view: Homage displayed a willing attitude when making a winning reappearance at Haydock and, with improvement on the cards, looks sure to be in the thick of things. However, Altharoos could be on a good mark for his handicap bow and, though he will appreciate a stiffer test in due course, he makes most appeal here. Czech It Out is another potential improver that commands respect.
