Timeform assess the runners at Fakenham

Timeform assess the chances of each runner in a class 3 handicap chase at Fakenham on Sunday...

Manger Hanagment was resurgent and got back to winning ways at Taunton (2m) in April, but failed to back that up when last of 4 off revised mark at Sedgefield last month. Others more persuasive now.

The Black Baron is a dual C&D winner who bounced back from a blip to resume winning ways at Southwell last month. Career-high mark to contend with now, but still respected in view of record at this venue.

My Flora was progressive in hunter chases in 2011/12, winning 4 times. Run to a similar level when twice placed in handicap chases at up to 23f in recent months, and likely to make presence felt once more.

Monarch's Way's jumping has lacked fluency since opening chasing account at Musselburgh (2m) in December, never a threat when fourth in blinkers last month, and stamina to prove on first try at 21f.

City Press was more fluent when opening chasing account at Huntingdon (3m) in April. Yet to be asked for effort when falling 3 out at Fontwell last time, so obvious claims if none the worse for that.

Zama Zama made a promising start over fences when third at Bangor (17f) last month. Not the most consistent, but successful off a higher mark over hurdles, so has to enter calculations.

That's The Deal was a dual C&D winner who has held form well since latest one in March, sticking to task when third at Aintree last month. No reason why he shouldn't give another decent account.

Jonny Rye is a winning pointer who was some way below hurdles form when remote third on chase bow at Uttoxeter (2m) last month, but may do better now contesting a handicap in this sphere.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. My Flora
2. City Press
3. That's The Deal

Timeform View: That's The Deal and The Black Baron are respected in view of their prowess around this circuit, but preference is for My Flora, who has been knocking on the door since contesting handicaps in this sphere of late. City Press is another that has to be taken seriously if none the worse for his crashing fall at Fontwell last month.
