Sudden Wish runs in the 13:30 at Lingfield.
Timeform's Martin Dixon suggests bets at both Lingfield and Hexham on Thursday...
Sudden Wish is a horse that I was interested in early this year after she won over 7f at Lingfield on her handicap debut, and it looks to me as if David Evans has found her ideal opportunity on her first start for the yard this afternoon. She's unexposed in comparison to most in the 13:30, clearly goes well at the track (also a good third over C&D in March) and some of her form has a strong enough look to it to suggest that a mark of 55 is lenient. I thought she should be favourite today, and 6.86/1 is a generous price.
I'll stay at Lingfield for the second bet of the day, taking two against the field in the 6f sprint at 14:30. I'm happy to oppose Haamaat as favourite and both Dungannon (6.86/1) and York Glory (6.25/1) are horses with some strong turf form to their name, whilst the run style of both suggests to me that the nature of polytrack racing should suit.
Hexham isn't a card that appealed to me greatly for betting purposes, but my strongest view there is to lay Joshua The First in the place market for the opener at 12:40. There are only 4 runners, but they still bet to 2 places on Betfair, and it'll be a big surprise if Keith Dalglish's runner gets home over 2m at Hexham in the mud.
Recommended Bets
Back Sudden Wish at 6.86/1 in 13:30 Lingfield
Back Dungannon at 6.86/1 and York Glory at 6.25/1 in 14:30 Lingfield
Lay Joshua The First for a place at up to 2.56/4 in 12:40 Hexham
