Racing Post Greyhound TV Tips: Henlow, Hove and Romford

Hove is the venue for The Lords' banker bet tonight

A cracking week of live greyhound racing sees three nights of RPGTV action support the St Leger extravaganza on Sky, with The Lord getting his nashers into the fare at Henlow, Hove and Romford in particular...

At Henlow on Thursday, Glanmire Phanter (19:39) is an above-average sprinter who might relish this short four bends if coming away and getting a better run than when last at the Bedfordshire venue. He needs only to beat Evo Alexander to the punch, although the latter is interestingly having his first run for local handler Seamus Gaughan.

Boher Chieftain (19:54) runs Henlow well and has enough early pace to lie handy in a trappy contest before roaring down the back given racing room. It looks a match with Warning Sign, who does runs Henlow better than anywhere else also.

Farloe Brainy (21:32) won impressively at Belle Vue last week and is clearly suited to a test and has the draw to shine in a race where in-form Stress Impact, who runs on well, looks the chief danger.

Ballymac Denis (22:03) has almost become a Henlow specialist, loving the place, and has cracking early pace and may always be in pole position in a race where back-to-form Any Dak could make the market.

At Hove, still on Thursday, Ladies Watch (21:24) is up in class but has a burst of early pace which might put her in front in a race where Airtech Alfie, a potential improver, could corner the betting.

Swabys Tony (21:40) has a losing run to overcome but has been in with better class than tonight's line-up and time-wise might take some holding, while Airforce Harlem (21:56) hosed up last time and looks an above-average stayer and should make the most of the draw over 695m.

However, banker material tonight runs in the shape of Droopys Vito (22:26) who has returned from injury in good style and will he helped by having a slower breaker inside.

On to Friday, and a five-runner final for the Stayers decider where Smiler Jack (21.24) surely needs only to repeat his trapping from his heat on Monday to make all, with Bubbly Rossie fancied for the forecast with a vacant trap inside.

A cracking night's racing at the Essex venue sees some outstanding match-ups, not least Glanmire Lad (21:50) versus another precocious youngster in the shape of Bonamassa Rocks. The former's starting ability might well seal it.

Paulines Pride (20:34) against the strong Droopys Franklin is another teaser and, again, the first-named's trapping might seal it, while Alis Avenger (21:40) can get first run on staying-on Uh Oh Chongo over 400m.
