Gordon sends two to Wolves on Monday

Gordon takes a break from the jumps action on Monday as he sends Formal Bid and Silverlord across the Irish sea to compete on the all-weather at Dunstall Park.

I think he was a little unlucky to finish just fifth at Dundalk last time as he met trouble in-running. I'm not saying he would have won that race but the result is not really a fair reflection of how he performed. We've raced him over both codes this year so he's had a busy enough time of late and, depending on how he's feeling, this might be his last race for the year. It's a tricky enough contest but we have good each-way claims. The step back up to two miles should suit him better. 

17:30 Wolverhampton - Silverlord

He had been knocking on the door for some time so his win last time out at Dundalk was well deserved. He's another dual-purpose sort but he's been going best on the flat lately so we will probably stick to that code for now. He'll enjoy going back up to a mile-and-a-half and he's in good form at home in the yard. Again, these sort of handicaps are always tricky enough but we've a good chance of winning and I'd be disappointed to go home empty-handed.
