Follow The Money: Koo And The Gang set for Southwell success?

Have FTM found a winner at Southwell?

Today's movers come from the meetings at Southwell and Ludlow.

We start at Southwell where after some early support Keep It Dark continues to drift in the 7f Maiden Stakes at 13:50, out to 3.412/5 from 2.35/4. The three-year-old posted an improved effort on his first start on the all-weather at Wolverhampton last time, finishing a staying on fourth, and stepping back up a furlong in trip should suit. However, he runs on the fibresand at Southwell for the first time today, trainer Tony Coyle hasn't had a recent winner and, with some of his rivals attracting support in the market, he could be one to take on. 

We go to Ludlow for our next piece of advice where there has been a significant looking gamble on Cullahill in the 3m Handicap Chase at 14:00, now available to back at 6.611/2 having been as high as 14.5n/a this morning. The Bob Buckler-trained runner hasn't been in the best form of late, failing to land a blow on any of his recent starts including when beaten 30 lengths into third last time out at Wincanton. However, the first and second from that race have won since, he's receiving plenty of weight all round and gets the good ground he needs. Although current favourite Satou has also been a positive in the market we'll take the ten-year-old to return to form. 

We go back to Southwell for our final selection where Koo And The Gang has been well supported in the 7f Handicap at 15:50, currently trading at 3.65n/a from an early 4.94/1. This five-year-old struggled on the turf this year, producing a series of uninspiring efforts and subsequently dropping over a stone in the weights. However, he posted a more promising effort when making the running for a long way over a trip in excess of his best at Wolverhampton last time out and returns to the scene of three of his four career wins. With the seven furlong trip looking ideal and the money speaking in his favour, he could take all the beating.
