Where's the money going today?
Today's Follow The Money movers come from the meetings at Uttoxeter and Wetherby.
Our first race is the 14:00 at Wetherby where Bless The Wings has had steady support to move from 8.808/1 to 5.805/1. Although his form tailed off at the end of the spring he had won a competitive handicap chase at Cheltenham in January off seven pounds less than today's weight. He looks capable of making further progress and has shown before that he can run a big race after a break.
Over at Uttoxeter in the 14:20, Johns Spirit has been well supported down to 8.007/1 from 12.50n/a. After two novice hurdle wins last season under today's jockey, he went on to run well in some decent handicap company. Although he made an error on his jumps debut last month he seems as capable as any of his rivals of making the step up and the early market confidence seems to confirm that.
The final selection is in the 15:45 at Wetherby where Giveitachance has been on the drift this morning from 2.6813/8 out to 3.7011/4. On the face of things he looks hard to oppose. He has won well on his last two starts after a summer wind operation and a drop in the weights. However, he now faces a 14 pound penalty for those victories and the early money suggests his recent progress may be brought to a halt today.
