Pardew can mastermind another away draw
Andrew Hughes thinks Newcastle are a good bet to earn a draw against Liverpool and help land a Sunday cross-sport multiple in the process.
Betfair now gives you the facility to mix and match your multiples across a huge range of sports and markets with the easy-to-use betslip and so each weekend I've been putting together a cross-sport treble with the aim of showing the way to maximise your profits.
Bet 1: Back Liverpool to draw with Newcastle at 4.0>
Liverpool have had a frustrating week. They felt they were hard done by against Everton, then were dumped out of the Capital One Cup by Swansea. But things aren't going to get any better on Sunday
Although Newcastle have a shocking record at Anfield, losing 15 of their last 17 fixtures there, Liverpool's recent home record is equally poor, with just three wins from their last 14 home Premier League fixtures.
The Reds are pretty solid defensively at home, but they are struggling to find the fluency and creativity to break teams down, and Alan Pardew's side will make things hard for them, sitting deep and hoping to catch the home side on the break. Newcastle have drawn three of their last four away in the Premier League and they can add another point to their collection on Sunday.
Bet 2: Back Sri Lanka to beat New Zealand at 1.4
New Zealand's tour of Sri Lanka has been a wash out so far and the remaining one day internationals that were due to take place in Colombo have been moved to Kandy in the hope of salvaging some cricket.
Sunday's game is bound to be rain-affected, but though a reduced-overs game can be more of a lottery than a full fifty-over affair, Sri Lanka should still bring their superiority to bear. New Zealand are heavily reliant on Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor and though their bowlers will appreciate the damp conditions, they are not likely to have too many runs to play with.
Sri Lanka bat deep and they are tough opponents on their own patch, indeed they've only lost one of their last twelve against the Black Caps at home. Back Sri Lanka in the Match Odds market at 1.4740/85
Bet 3: Back Bath to beat London Welsh at 1.3>
Bath's players take a trip into the unknown on Sunday as the West Country side take on the Exiles in a competitive fixture for the first time since 1987. Bath's away form has not been great in the last year, but four wins in their last five, including away victories at Bucuresti and Aden means they are full of confidence ahead of this game against a side currently languishing tenth in the Aviva Premiership.
London Welsh have been struggling of late and have lost their last three in the Premiership. Coach Lyn Jones is set to make as many as seven changes for this fixture in a bid to spark his side into life. The Exiles are a hard-working but limited team and whilst their forwards can be a handful, Bath have enough talent at their disposal to prevail. Back the visitors in the Match Odds market at 1.364/11
