Transfer Talk: Bayern & Barca fight over €40million striker

Is Pep about to bring in new striking talent to Bayern?

Not too many stories surrounding Premier League moves today but Bayern Munich and Barcelona are both reportedly ready to spend €40million on a new striker.

Paris Saint-Germain are showing a keen interest in Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic, according to reports coming out of Italy.

The 24-year-old has been a regular fixture for the Serie A outfit this season, with the midfielder featuring 24 times in the top-flight and scoring three goals in the process.

Those performances have helped lift Roma to second in the table - 11 points behind leaders Juventus - and a number of top European sides are said to be tracking the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.

PSG have big doubts over the future of Blaise Matuidi and Adrien Rabiot, who have both hinted at an exit in recent weeks, and Pjanic is being targeted as a summer replacement.

Roma are unlikely to sell one of their most prized assets but, if an offer around the 20million mark landed on their desk, they may find it hard to resist.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Newcastle United are being linked with a 5million summer move for Levante's Spanish midfielder Victor Camarasa.

The 20-year-old has been one of the best performers for the relegation-threatened club this season and the midfielder has made 16 La Liga appearances so far.

The Magpies, who delved into the Spanish market last summer to sign Ayoze Perez, are said to be impressed with Camarasa and they are ready to test the resolve of the financially-stricken Levante with a 5m offer.

If the latter were to be relegated it would almost certainly result in an exit for the Spaniard and it could possibly mean that Newcastle may get their target for a reduced price.

Moving on and the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona will have to fork out €40million if they are to land Palermo star Paulo Dybala at the end of the season, according to a report from Goal.com.

The Italian outfit's president, Maurizio Zamparini, has slapped the huge price tag on the striker amid huge interest from two of football's giants.

Dybala has been in sublime form this season, scoring 12 goals in 25 games for the Sicilian club, and Zamparini has described their star man as the next Lionel Messi.

"For me, Dybala is the Messi of the future," he told Radio Anch'io. "I value him at €40 million (28.5m), but we will have to wait and see what happens at the end of the season.

"There has been a lot of talk about Dybala, but his agent is just doing his work. I have a good relationship with him."
