Paul Pogba may yet stay in Italy this summer
Juve are saying all the right things about Paul Pogba but are they doing it to just drive up the price of the former Manchester United player?
Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta has claimed that the club do not need to sell midfielder Paul Pogba during the summer.
The France youngster has been linked with moves to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Manchester United so far this season but Juve tied him down to a new deal in October. The 22-year-old has continued to impress this season but Marotta insists the Serie A champions are under no obligation to sell.
"Pogba is a young player with lots of promise but he is realising his potential," Marotta is quoted as saying by Sky Sports.
"We want to win and we don't necessarily have to sell our best players. It is clear that players of this quality attract interest from other clubs but we don't seek buyers and there has been no contact."
Moving on and the Daily Mirror believes that Newcastle will make a move for Hoffenheim right-back Andreas Beck at the end of the season. Napoli are also thought to be keen on the 28-year-old who has made nine appearances for the Germany national team. Beck has made 26 appearances so far this season in the Bundesliga and Magpies boss John Carver is already planning ahead as he tries to help the club finish in the European places next year.
Palermo striker Paulo Dybala has been linked with a number of clubs so far this season, with the Metro now claiming that Arsenal are stepping up their interest.
Juventus are also keen to do a deal but Arsene Wenger is hopeful that the Gunners can make their move quickly. Dybala has scored 12 goals in 27 matches so far in this campaign and Arsenal may have to pay around 30million to get their man. Arsenal officials are expected to travel to Italy in the coming days as they try to tempt Dyabla to north London.
Staying with Arsenal and Chuba Akpom is attracting interest from two Championship clubs, according to the Eastern Daily Press.
High-flying Norwich City and Nottingham Forest are both looking to secure a loan deal before the end of the season.
Norwich boss Alex Neil is confident Akpom could give them some added firepower up top as they try to qualify for automatic promotion in the next few months.
Akpom is well down the pecking order at Arsenal but he could get some much-needed experience while on loan at either Championship side.
