Benfica vs Pacos Ferreira
Sunday 19:15
First up we check in on the all-conquering champions of Portugal Benfica as they kick off their league campaign against Pacos Ferreira
Last season was an unparalleled success for Benfica. A clean sweep of all domestic competitions and a narrow loss to Sevilla on penalties in the Final of the Europa League.
They've started this season on the front foot with a win over the Rio Ave in the Supercup last Sunday. The 'Eagles' certainly seem they will be the team to beat again this season but it's yet to be seen how coach Jorge Jesus will deal with the change of personnel that his squad has suffered over the summer.
A campaign as successful as last year was always going to attract attention and Benfica have cashed in on some of their prized assets. Lazar Markovic was sold for big money to Liverpool and keeper Jan Oblak went to Atletico Madrid and their front line has been depleted by the loss of club legend Oscar Cardozo and last year's impressive loanee Rodrigo.
There replacements are relative unknowns with Talisca and Victor Andrade arriving from Brazil and Bebe signing from Man United after a stellar season for Pacos.
How these new additions will adjust to their new surroundings is hard to predict but Benfica still retain some proven quality with Gaitan and Salvio supporting Lima upfront.
Pacos Ferreira had a far less comfortable time last season. After a fabulous 2012/13 season they crumbled last season. Costinha endured a disastrous spell as coach before he was replaced by Henrique Calisto. Under his stewardship they barely survived and avoided relegation after a two-legged playoff.
Pacos were simply awful away from home last year and shipped 29 goals on their travels in the league. The one bright spot of their season, apart from survival, was the form of Bebe who they had on loan from Manchester United and he has now signed for Sunday's opposition.
The Pacos fans will be hoping that the likes of Paolo Hurtado and Cicero can make the cut this year and boost their chances but the outlook seems bleak.
With Benfica unbeaten at home in five competitions last year and Pacos' poor away record this Sunday's match seems likely to only go one way. Expect Benfica to break stroll it at the Estadio de Luz, a happy start for the Benfiquistas.

Palmeiras vs Sao Paulo
Sunday 20:00
It's derby time again and the cameras are headed to the Pacaembu stadium for the fifteenth round of the Brazilian Campeonato as Palmeiras, back in the big time, play host to their wealthy city rivals Sao Paulo in the 'Choque-Rei'.
Palmeiras had been holding their own in the top flight at the start of the season but their form has crumbled recently and they're now without a win in eight.
Goals are the issue, they're defence has been relatively resolute but they have seriously lacked firepower with only eleven goals from fourteen games so far. Henrique has five to his name but nobody else has been chipping in regularly.
Argentinean coach Ricardo Gareca has sought to address the problem, this week he splashed out on striker Jonathan Cristaldo, signed from Metalist Kahrkiv. Cristaldo will link up with fellow new signings Fernando Tobio, Pablo Mouche and Agustin Allione. These signings should vastly improve Palmeiras' chances but it will take them time to bed in.
Sao Paulo have a more established and well known squad with the likes of Kaka, Luis Fabiano and Ganso to mention just three of their stars. Also it seems that their strike force is clicking.
Alexandre Pato looks somewhere near his best after bagging a brace last weekend and new signing Alan Kardec has impressed so far.
Sitting in fifth Sao Paulo are set to push for the title this season but reigning champions Cruzeiro already have a seven point lead over them and they can't just rely on their home form.
Coach Muricy Ramalho will want his 'Tricolor' team to try and capitalise on Palmeiras' lack of confidence and despite recent encounters between these two remaining fairly tight expect goals in this one.
