Arsenal duo linked with ВЈ28million move - Tuesday Transfer Rumours

Is Connor Wickham the next Andy Carroll?

Lots of interesting transfer rumours today, from Loic Remy being linked with a move away from QPR again to a couple of Arsenal squad players going out to Turkey. Alex Johnson rounds it all up.

Liverpool are set to continue their busy summer of transfer business with the sale of defender Kolo Toure, according to the Daily Mail.

The Ivory Coast international joined the Reds from Manchester City on a free transfer 12 months ago and featured 20 times for the Premier League runners-up last season.

Despite that, Liverpool have reportedly agreed a 1.5million deal with Trabzonspor, with the Turkish club's president Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu saying "we have agreed terms with Kolo Toure and we will bring him to the club".

The defender is said to be considering his options after the arrival of Dejan Lovren from Southampton as competition for a starting spot becomes increasingly fierce at Anfield.

Moving on and West Ham United will have to make an improved bid of 8million if they are to land Sunderland striker Connor Wickham, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Hammers made a 5million offer for the 21-year-old on Monday as manager Sam Allardyce looks to fill the void left by injured forward Andy Carroll.

Sunderland are unwilling to let the striker leave for anything less than 8million despite the youngster only having one year left on his contract.

The Telegraph are also reporting that the Black Cats will look to use the money generated by the sale of Wickham to bring in Manchester City defender Micah Richards.

Richards has lost his place in the first team and Sunderland are hoping they can persuade the Citizens to let the Englishman leave this summer for around 5million.

Loic Remy could be set to end a drawn-out transfer saga with CaughtOffside reporting that the striker will be offered to Tottenham Hotspur in a swap deal that would see Andros Townsend and Harry Kane move in the opposite direction.

The forward, who was on loan at Newcastle United last season, was expected to complete a move to Liverpool, only for the Frenchman to fail a medical.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp looks resigned to losing the striker but the 67-year-old is hoping to pick up two of his former players in what would be a sensational double swoop.

Finally, the Daily Express are reporting that Galatasaray are weighing up a 28million bid for the Arsenal duo of Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski.

Podolski looks to have fallen out of favour under manager Arsene Wenger and is widely expected to leave the club this summer.

Campbell, who enjoyed a fantastic World Cup with Costa Rica, is also being targeted but it is unlikely that Arsenal will be willing to let the striker leave permanently, with a loan deal more likely.
