Limerick are looking to continue their rise up the Irish Premier Division
Jonno Turner surveys the action across the continent this evening as he plumps for two picks in Ireland and Germany...
We're off to Ireland for our first pick of the day - as Limerick host Bray Wanderers at the Thomond Stadium, looking to secure their fourth unbeaten home result from five.
Stuart Taylor's side currently sit sixth in the table following that impressive form, and will be keen to build on a 1-0 defeat of Bohemians last time out.
The newly-promoted club currently hold 25 points, and are pretty much equidistant between the promotion places and relegation zone - so will be hoping to pick up another win here in order to send them in the right direction.
Visitors Bray line up for this one in ninth place - and with just four points separating them from the drop zone, the pressure is mounting on Pat Devlin's side to get back to winning ways.
The Seagulls have not taken maximum points in three games now, and a 2-0 loss at Premier Division leaders St Patricks saw them dominated last week.
That makes 10 goals shipped in four outings, and I reckon that the away side's leaky defence could play a major part in this clash.
Limerick are unbeaten in five against their guests - winning four of those, including a 4-0 thrashing back in March - and I reckon that history could repeat itself here.
Bet 1: Limerick (HOME) @ 1.76
Over to Germany for our next selection - as Greuther Firth welcome Celtic to the Trolli Arena, in a friendly.
As a rule, I try to avoid exhibition games - but I reckon that there is real value to be had in this, with the Scots desperate to get their pre-season campaign back on track following two losses last week.
And large numbers of the Hoops faithful are following their side to Germany, which should generate enough atmosphere to make this one a tasty tie.
Celtic finished the season in style, winning three on the bounce - and scoring 11 goals whilst keeping a trio of clean sheets in the process.
Boss Neil Lennon will be keen for his side to put in a positive performance here, ahead of another friendly in Berlin on Friday as the new campaign draws closer.
Hosts Greuther Furth line up in 2. Bundesliga next year following a disastrous season which saw them relegated from the top tier.
And Frank Kramer's side will be full of confidence following three friendly wins on the bounce - although they haven't faced a side of Celtic's quality yet.
The Kleeblatter boss is well aware of just how good the visitors are, and has intimated as much in the media. I reckon the Scots are decent value for a confidence-restoring victory here.
Bet 2: Celtic (AWAY) @ 2.24
