Will the FTM team net us a profit this afternoon?
The markets have been reviewed and today's Follow The Money selections come from Perth, Haydock, and Yarmouth...
We start at Perth in the 14:30 where Goodlukin Lucy has seen solid support, coming in from 6.88n/a in to 4.77/2. Dianne Sayer's mare was successful at her last start over hurdles in April, when making all over the same distance at Wetherby. She's since had a successful campaign on the flat which included a win at Musselburgh. She will have to improve from her last hurdles win, but with the hood refitted and her progressive flat form, there looks no reason why she can't make that step today.
Next we move to Haydock for the 14:50, where Lady Lara has seen plenty of support coming in to 2.747/4 from 3.55/2. This is no doubt due to her solid debut performance at Royal Ascot when eighth, beaten just eight lengths. Today's event is obviously a massive drop in class, and with improvement expected from her and the money down, it looks like Alan Jarvis's filly has every chance to get off the mark this afternoon.
Finally we head to Yarmouth for the 16:40 where Willow Beck has been on the drift, going from 1.981/1 out to 2.186/5. John Gosden's filly was a last start winner at Wolverhampton in November, and does have a chance on that effort. The worry appears to be the apparent lack of class of the runners she beat that day, and with this being her first start on turf, it looks like the punters would prefer to be against her at such short odds until she proves her ability.
