The unexposed Master Flight can take advantage of a good opportunity and get off the mark in the 14:50 at Newton Abbot. Jeremy Scott's lightly-raced nine-year-old was well supported prior to his handicap debut at Taunton in December, and he went close to justifying the market support, still looking green as he failed by a neck. Master Flight has been absent since that promising effort and has faster ground to contend with, but he clearly has some potential from such a lowly handicap mark and he is the clear pick in this weak-looking affair.

Mata Hari Blue has been in good heart since joining the Michael Appleby yard and looks sure to go close in the 16:30 at Southwell. An emphatic winner at Southwell on her penultimate start, Mata Hari Blue demonstrated that she remains in good form when running to a similar level, albeit in defeat, earlier this month, finishing third as the front trio pulled clear of the remainder. She faces some promising types, notably Dancheur, but her proven record on the fibresand should stand her in good stead and she will give a good account. 

Our final SmartPlay of the day runs in the 20:10 at Windsor as we side with John Gosden's lightly-raced gelding Proofreader. Sent off as favourite for a highly-competitive handicap at Doncaster on the back of an impressive debut success, Proofreader failed to make an impact and was a bit of a disappointment. However, there was plenty to like about his effort at Chester on his recent return. Proofreader was poorly drawn, ran wide on the first turn and met trouble in running when trying to make his challenge, but he still finished a respectable third and looks sure to appreciate today's step up in trip.
