Cheworee blew her chance at the start at York last time, facing an uphill struggle from there on, and that effort is definitely worth forgiving but narrow preference is for the Dean Ivory-trained Tropics, who almost certainly has more to offer in handicaps. The five-year-old is lightly raced for one of his age but has rapidly made up into a useful performer, recording an impressive success on his third start at Kempton last October. He has caught the eye in defeat since, not seen to best effect on handicap debut last year prior to doing too much too soon on his reappearance at Ascot earlier this month, shaping considerably better than the bare result. He is one to keep on side in handicap sprints and is taken to score here. 

Muharrer shaped as though a return to this trip would suit when last seen at Haydock and he looks to an excellent chance of returning to winning ways in Carlisle's 16:55. The four-year-old, formerly trained by Marcus Tregonning, was making just his second start for current handler Michael Dods in the aforementioned affair, understandably no match for the promising Hanseatic but shaping as though he had more still in his locker. That performance saw a return to the pick of his earlier form and, were he to improve, he is likely to take some beating. 

Our final SmartPlay goes in the 17:30 at Windsor, with Tinshu fancied to get the better of recent C&D winner Come On Blue Chip. The latter is likely to prove popular with Richard Hughes an eyecatching jockey booking but Tinshu is well treated on turf when compared to her all-weather mark and she looks to represent a spot of value at 7.413/2. The seven-year-old has held her form well in the face of relatively stiff tasks of late and it is worth overlooking her latest effort at Ascot, as she was hampered a couple of furlongs from home and had no real chance from her position.
