Celtic will be celebrating again on Sunday
Andrew Hughes thinks Celtic will lift the Scottish Cup on Sunday and help land a cross-sport multiple in the process.
Bet 1: Back Celtic to beat Hibernian at 1.331/3
This time last year Hibernian had a great opportunity to win the Scottish Cup for the first time since 1902, but their big day out ended in a dispiriting 5-1 thrashing by their Edinburgh neighbours.
This time round their task is even harder. Celtic's dominance has been total this season. They won the Premier League by sixteen points, and won their two final games by an aggregate score of 8-0 despite resting several key players.
Hibs have scrapped their way past Hearts, Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and Falkirk, having shown considerable fighting spirit along they way, but they will need more than that on Sunday. Celtic won their last Premier League encounter 3-0, and a similar score line would not be a surprise.
Bet 2: Back Chennai to beat Mumbai at 1.84/5
Badly damaged by match-fixing allegations, the IPL has limped towards its conclusion, and there have even been suggestions that Sunday's final shouldn't take place. It will go ahead, although it will probably be a subdued occasion.
It's impossible to weigh up what effect the events of recent days will have, particularly on the Chennai squad, but from a purely cricket point of view; it is the Super Kings who are the more likely winners. Mumbai did beat them twice in the regular season, but Chennai won the first Qualifier against the Indians in emphatic style and are stronger in all departments, apart perhaps from their opening bowlers.
They also have the experience that comes with having played in four of the previous five finals, whereas Mumbai have a tendency to choke on the big occasion.
Bet 3: Back Widnes Vikings to beat Salford City Reds at 1.728/11
Super League's Magic Weekend continues at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, kicking off with this clash of two teams in the bottom half of the table.
Along with London Broncos and Castleford Tigers, Salford are propping up Super League at the moment, with just seven points from their fifteen games. Widnes aren't doing that much better, lying fourth from bottom, on eleven points.
However, the Vikings are on a much better run of form. Salford have managed just three wins all season so far, whereas Widnes go into this game having won three of their last five in all competitions. They've also won four of the last five encounters with Widnes, including a 58-24 thrashing in April. Back Widnes for the win.
