1000 Guineas: Timeform's runner-by-runner guide

Hot Snap can win the Guineas for Sir Henry Cecil

Timeform examine all 15 runners in the first fillies' Classic of the season...

Agent Allison showed useful form in light 2-y-o campaign, and showed she's trained on well with good second to Maureen in Fred Darling at Newbury on return. Bred to get this far but another big step forward needed.

Celtic Filly has offered fairly useful form in France/Italy but looks way out of her depth in this.

Diaminda was thrice-raced as a juvenile, landing maiden at Ascot prior to fourth in a listed race at Salisbury. Shapes as if she'll stay 7f but whether she'll get 1m is another matter, and stiff task any case.

Hot Snap is a half-sister to yard's standard-bearer Midday, and confirmed promise of debut win when most impressive winner of Nell Gwyn, swooping from last despite greenness. Extra 1f will suit and the one to beat.

Just The Judge finished unbeaten in 3 starts as a juvenile, showing improvement with each run, impressing when winning the Rockfel here on final run. Sure to be suited by 1m and big player.

Masarah seemingly excelled herself when fourth in Fillies' Mile, and probably flattered again when winning minor event at Ascot recently, dictating. Looks out of her depth.

Maureen has been generally progressive, winning 6f Group 3 at Ascot as a juvenile before beating Agent Allison in Fred Darling at Newbury on return. Will stay this far but passed over by Richard Hughes.

Moth is bred more for middle distances but left form of 2 runs last year well behind when running out an impressive winner in maiden at the Curragh (7f) last month. Smart prospect who's worthy of respect.

Ollie Olga won her first 3 starts, including a defeat of subsequent Group 1 winner Sky Lantern in Prestige at Goodwood (7f). Lost unbeaten record when last of 6 in Fillies' Mile final run and others preferred now.

Rasmeyaa managed an encouraging third in listed race at the Curragh on debut and impressive when landing a maiden at Leopardstown in October, beating 4 next-time-out winners. Not to be underestimated.

Roz has been very progressive so far, overcoming long odds to land maiden at Kempton and listed race at Sandown before excellent second in Fillies' Mile over C&D. Still a long way off what is required, though.

Sky Lantern won a listed race at Naas and Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh last year, and better than result in Breeders' Cup event. Put in her place when second to Hot Snap in Nell Gywn on return, however.

Snow Queen was kept busy last year, winning twice, and shaped well when third in Guineas Trial at Leopardstown on return. Step up to 1m shouldn't be an issue but plenty to find on form even so.

What A Name is a French-trained filly who acquitted herself well in 2012, taking on the colts when winning Group 3 at Longchamp and when second in Group 1 there. Won muddling contest on return and big run expected.

Winning Express hasn't been out of the frame in 4 runs, including 2 wins, a second in the Cheveley Park and a third in the Nell Gwyn. Looks up against it all the same, especially as her stamina could well be an issue.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Hot Snap
2. What A Name
3. Rasmeyaa

Timeform View: There are a number of interesting, lightly-raced sorts among the field, though none more so than Hot Snap, who sets the standard after her defeat of Sky Lantern in the Nell Gwyn, and with the step up to 1m sure to suit, she's the selection. What A Name is feared most, while Rasmeya should go well at bigger odds.
