Generous Dream goes at Newcastle later today
Timeform Radio's David Johnson is on tipping duty today and it's two later races at Newcastle and Nottingham where our man has elected to go...
A busy day in store this afternoon with 24 races and around 300 runners to go at, but from a punting perspective it's a case of more is less, with few of the races making strong betting appeal for all there's a couple that look worth supporting.
The staying race at Newcastle at 16:50 is likely to turn into a real slog on testing ground, and that can see the lightly raced Generous Dream come out on top. She showed much improved form when facing these conditions for the first time when making a successful handicap debut at Ripon and emerged with plenty of credit behind a Mark Johnston-trained 3-y-o, Ukranian, at Musselburgh last time. That 13f trip was a barely adequate test and she can resume her progression back at 2m.
The 10f nursery at Nottingham at 17:30 should also be a real test for juveniles and I will be siding with handicap debutant Forced Family Fun. He's looked to be learning his job in his three runs in maidens and is fancied to leave that form behind now. He's the first foal of Northumberland Plate winner Juniper Girl, so can be expected to relish this step up in trip. It will be a surprise if he doesn't prove better than a BHA mark of 65.
