Ingleby Star is fancied to score at Beverley.
Timeform highlight a trio of bets for Tuesday's action...
Judged upon his success at Nottingham four days ago, Divertimenti would be an obvious selection in the 15:10 at Beverley but there is a definite suspicion that it may not pay to get too carried away with that form as the first three home all raced close to the favoured near rail, Divertimenti particularly so, and he may not be as well treated as that form would imply. With that in mind he can realistically be taken on with the Ian McInnes-trained Ingleby Star, a dual C&D winner who suggested that a revival was on the cards when fourth at Catterick last month. He has slipped back to his winning mark and will be suited by a return to this stiffer track, so he seems sure to go well.
Sedgefield's 16:00, a handicap chase staged over two and a half miles, can be won by the John Wade-trained Riskier, who hasn't been too harshly dealt with by the handicapper following his success at Newcastle last month. The eight-year-old was on the verge of being labelled a weak-finisher but he got back on track in no uncertain terms, posting an effort that was right up with his best, and if he repeats that he could prove difficult to beat here.
Our final SmartPlay comes on Chepstow's evening card, with Visual Aspect fancied to land the 19:05. The Dean Ivory-trained three-year-old has shown ability in his four starts to date, particularly so when fifth at Lingfield last time, and the drop to the minimum trip ought to be right up his street. The booking of Richard Hughes catches the eye, with him boasting a 35% strike rate when teaming up with Ivory in the last five years, and his opening mark looks fair enough, so it would come as a disappointment were he not to be involved at the finish.
Timeform SmartPlays:
Back Ingleby Star @ 6.86/1 in the 15:10 at Beverley
Back Riskier @ 4.94/1 in the 16:00 at Sedgefield
Back Visual Aspect @ 6.411/2 in the 19:05 at Chepstow
