Dalavar can win for Alan King at Kempton
Timeform focus on the action at Kempton and Plumpton on Sunday...
Signed Request (Plumpton 16:00) justified market support on his handicap debut at Chepstow, impressing with how readily he put his rivals to the sword, and he had no problems supplementing that emphatic success at Bangor last time, asserting after the last keeping on well close home. He still appears open to further improvement and a bold bid looks assured as he goes in search of the hat-trick.
The Alan King-trained Dalavar remains relatively unexposed over hurdles and is worth supporting in the 16:20 at Kempton. Having made the frame on all three starts in bumpers, Dalavar made a rather inauspicious start over hurdles, but he showed improved form to finish runner-up at Wincanton last time, possibly paying the price for making his effort earlier than ideal against a well-backed rival. There were certainly some positives to take from the performance, though, and he ought to give another good account of himself.
It has been a while since Health Is Wealth entered the winners' enclosure, but his most recent effort at Taunton was his best for a while and he can gain an overdue success in the 16:30 at Plumpton. Colin Tizzard's eight-year-old rattled off a hat-trick of wins at this venue in 2011, defying a mark of 110 to register the last of those three wins. He looks fairly treated today based on the best of his form and his recent second at Taunton suggests a resurgence of sorts may be forthcoming.
