Timeform preview a contest at Kempton

Timeform examine each runner in a class 4 handicap at Kempton on Tuesday...

Red Larkspur won a C&D maiden in 2011, and was back to best in first-time hood when taking handicap at Lingfield on return in March. Landed some good bets there, and every chance of following up if in same form now

Lastkingofscotland added another win to his CV when scoring over C&D in January, but ran poorly on next outing, and fared even worse after a break at Lingfield last time. Plenty to prove now.

Street Power won at Ascot (6f) in July, but hasn't fired fully since, and went backwards from a fair return when finishing weakly over 7f here last time. Drop to 6f may help now, but others more convincing.

Pick A Little has not been the most consistent, but returned to form out of the blue when taking a C&D handicap in March. Failed to build on that last time, however, and opposable on balance of form.

Apollo D'negro was winless in 2012, although placed several times in competitive handicaps, and on a fair mark on balance of form. Needed return last year, but can go well fresh, and needs a market check now.

Dream Catcher scored at Windsor and Pontefract in July, and held form well off higher marks later last year. Ought to be in the mix if fully wound up on return from a 6 month absence.

We Have A Dream has twice been placed since regaining winning thread over C&D in September, but ended the year on a low note. Excuses for that, but no great record fresh, so easy enough to pass him over now.

Kellys Eye was back to winning ways at Pontefract (5f) in September for David Brown. Fair debut for current yard at Warwick, but below that form at Sandown last time, for all he met some trouble. Must step up.

Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Red Larkspur
2. Apollo D'negro
3. Dream Catcher

Timeform View: Red Larkspur settled much better in a hood when landing a gamble on her return to action, and looks up to defying a 5 lb rise for that success. Apollo d'Negro and Dream Catcher have fitness to prove, but appeal as the likeliest dangers on form.
