Danny Tudhope will be aboard Frontier Fighter at Ripon.
Timeform analyse the field for Ripon's 15:40, a handicap run over a mile...
Beacon Lodge won 7f Listed Spring Trophy at Haydock in 2009 and 2011, but operating below that level nowadays, and has run poorly on both starts this term, most recently off this mark at York on Thursday.
Osteopathic Remedy was twice successful in 2012 (including over C&D), and has shaped as though ability remains intact all 3 starts this term. Races from last winning mark here, and one to consider for each-way purposes.
Frontier Fighter only made debut on Boxing Day, but has quickly made up for lost time, registering fourth victory at Pontefract (first run on turf) last month, and good second at Musselburgh (9f) since.
Memory Cloth was a winner in France and useful for this yard in the mud last year, landing handicaps over C&D and at Newcastle. Hasn't the troubled judge on last 7 starts, but given chance by handicapper here.
Hit The Jackpot won 8.5f Galway maiden in July 2011 for Dermot Weld, and raced in better company last spring. Below form both starts in handicaps for new yard this term, though too soon to completely write off.
Dubai Dynamo was the winner of this event 12 months ago. Justified favouritism in 7f Thirsk handicap last month, and excuses all 3 starts since (worst of draw at Chester last week), so shouldn't be dismissed back here.
Hi There was successful twice last season upon joining this stable, and added to tally on reappearance at Musselburgh (7f) in March. Excuses when seventh at Haydock since, and merits consideration here.
Ardmay improved in handicaps in 2012, winning 3 times. Possibly needed outing after 6 months off when well held behind Dubai Dynamo at Thirsk last month, but probably needs some respite from handicapper.
Timeform 1-2-3:
1. Frontier Fighter
2. Dubai Dynamo
3. Memory Cloth
Timeform Verdict: Frontier Fighter is already a 4-time winner this year, and while this is a stronger contest than those he's previously competed in, he's taken to add to his tally. Last year's victor Dubai Dynamo should be in the shake-up again, while Memory Cloth has to come into the equation if ground conditions worsen.
