Ryan takes the ride on Richard Hannon's Exceed And Exceed
Ryan doesn't have a ride in the Dante Stakes but he is on board a quintet of horses on Thursday at York. Get his thoughts on all five here...

Dungannon
His record suggests that he will need the run, but I think he is back on a mark from which he can be competitive and the rain yesterday is a positive too. He is 4lb lower than when a good fifth in the Wokingham last season, and he has winning form over this trip. So if he is straight enough, he could go well.

Ambivalent
I don't know what went wrong with her in the Opera on her final start, maybe the heavy ground, but Roger has his horses in pretty decent form and you can give this one a squeak on her Newbury win or her fifth in the Park Hill. But she does have a bit to find with a few of these and I suspect that she is best on decent ground, and over further.
15:15 York
Fort Bastion
Has been off for a year, and has joined Ed from Richard Hannon's. I hear he has been pleasing at home and is certainly a horse of some potential; he was a good 2yo and impressed when winning a three-runner race at Newmarket from Starboard last May. But he clearly doesn't face an easy task, giving away weight all round off a mark of 106 here.
15:50 York
Lucky Beggar
Showed plenty of pace when third for me in the Free Handicap, and ran to a similar level of form when second to an-form horse over 5f in the soft at Hamilton last time. This is a competitive little race, but he is in there with every chance.
16:25 York
Exceed And Exceed
I don't know how he has been going at home, to be honest, so I'm not much use on this one. But luckily I spoke to Hughesie at York yesterday and he said he was a "nice horse". Hopefully he will be straight enough but any more rain may not be ideal. But Richard's 2yos are going well, as per usual, and there is plenty of speed in this one's pedigree.
