Follow The Money: Cash for Joker suggests he won't be a Choker today

Will Joker Choker jump his way to success today?

Today's Follow the Money movers come from the meetings at Chester, Lingfield and Market Rasen...

Firstly to Market Rasen and the 15:30, a 2 mile 4 furlong Handicap Chase where Joker Choker has seen a lot of support moving from 15.014/1 into 7.06/1. Nicky Henderson's eight-year-old gelding runs off bottom weight in today's contest but has won over the larger obstacles albeit back in 2011, however his hurdle form has resulted in him being well handicapped. If he can transfer that form to fences for the Champion trainer then the halving in price could well be justified.

Now to Chester for today's negative, where in the 16:25, a 7 furlong Maiden Stakes Peter Chapple-Hyam's Arbeel has been easy to back moving out from 2.26/5 to a current 2.75n/a. The three-year-old daughter of Royal Applause had two runs last August over today's distance with varying success. Stepping down in class from a Group 3 contest last time out the maiden status tag would be expected to be lost today but with the worst available draw the lack of market confidence suggests otherwise.

Finally to Lingfield and the 17:20,a 7 furlong Handicap where Richard Hannon's three-year-old colt Arctic Admiral has been backed from 8.7n/a into 5.85/1. Yet to get off the mark he has however took some liking to the polytrack surface recording three second places including over course and distance a month ago. With the trainers excellent current strike rate the market move may culminate in a first win being achieved at the Surrey track.
