Kandari was a fairly useful hurdler who has made a reasonable start to his chasing career, placed in events at Worcester and Taunton. Not badly treated moving into handicap company and is one to consider.

Quite The Man produced a career best after a break when bagging 2m Perth handicap in May. Has struggled since, though, blinkers failing to perk him up sufficiently at Haydock in December, and doesn't make much appeal.

Ros Castle was generally progressive over hurdles and better still over fences this term, following Kelso 17f success with good runner-up efforts twice since. Sure to go well again despite career-high mark.

Diamond Frontier jumped boldly when registering third chasing win at Wetherby (2m) over a year ago. Not at same level since, though, and has plenty to prove at present.

Saveiro jumped fluently when bagging second chase win at Wetherby 12 months ago. In the grip of the handicapper since, though, and probably requires more leniency before regaining the winning thread.

Alpha One improved again when ready winner at Sedgefield (2m) in November. Good effort when narrowly denied at Musselburgh next time and was running well over C&D when falling 4 out on New Year's Day.

Papa Caruso was a gambled-on winner at Newcastle (2m) in December 2011, but let down by his jumping all 3 starts since, most recently over that C&D 2 months ago. One to be wary of for now.

Categorical twice found one too good off much higher marks early last year and while below that form in 3 starts this term did hint at a revival when seventh at Doncaster (3m) last time, so folly to dismiss.

Timeform View: Ros Castle has been in top form this term and can regain the winning thread after a brace of good runner-up efforts the last twice. Kandari is interesting starting out in handicap company over fences, while Alpha One should be in the mix provided his recent C&D fall hasn't left its mark.
